Love (AND ADVENTURE) is in the air…

As a lover of gift giving and a lover of love, Valentine’s Day is my favorite holiday (well, right after Christmas). I love love. I am a hopeless romantic, with all the bells and whistles. i love gift giving, but i love when a person feels loved and appreciated THE MOST. valentine’s day isn’t the only day where you can show your love and appreciation for the people you love, but it’s definitely intensified on THIS day. while, yes, i agree that you don’t need solely one day to show YOUR love and appreciatION for those you love… i am all for having this one day that you must show them LOVE AND APPRECIATION, because with the hustle and bustle of every day life you tend to forget how much people mean to you: WHETHER IT’S partners, family, friends, ETC. so, this day REMINDS YOU OF those loved ones and it’s the perfect day to reach out to those you love, because life CAN TRULY CHANGE IN AN INSTANT.

this year - i created an adventure book for my boyfriend to gift to him on valentine’s day, because we have so many amazing memories together. it’s the perfect opportunity to look back on our relationship and all the adventures that we have taken TOGETHER. if you’ve watched the disney movie “up”, you’ll know exactly what i’m talking about. 🤍

Our Adventure Book:

HOW TO CREATE AN ADVENTURE BOOK (FOR YOUR PARTNER, BEST FRIEND, FAMILY MEMBERS, ETC.):

1. YOU WILL NEED THE FOLLOWING ITEMS:

   • ANY ALBUM OR SCRAPBOOK (CAN BE PURCHASED FROM YOUR LOCAL HOME GOODS OR CRAFTS STORE)

     • I PURCHASED OUR ADVENTURE BOOK ON AMAZON (IT ALSO COMES WITH SUPPLIES AND A SUPER CUTE GIFT BOX)

   • PRINTER (OR YOU CAN GET PICTURES PRINTED AT YOUR LOCAL WALMART OR WALGREENS FOR FAIRLY CHEAP)

     • INK (COLOR OR BLACK/WHITE WHATEVER YOUR PREFERENCE IS)

     • GLOSSY PHOTO PAPER

   • tape (i used DOUBLE SIDED TAPE)

   • COLOR PENS (TO WRITE PLACES, DATES, AND/OR CAPTIONS ON EACH PAGE)

2. ONCE YOU’VE GATHERED ALL YOUR SUPPLIES, YOU CAN PRINT OUT YOUR PICTURES (OR SEND THEM TO GET PRINTED AND PICK THEM UP)

3. AFTER YOU’VE PRINTED YOUR PICTURES, I SUGGEST TO CATEGORIZE BY YEAR AND MONTH SO THE ADVENTURE BOOK GOES IN CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER

4. NOW YOU CAN START TAPING PICTURES AND WRITING ON THE ADVENTURE BOOK

5. THAT’S IT! YOUR MASTERPIECE IS FINISHED AND READY TO BE GIFTED TO YOUR LOVED ONE(S).

all in all - it TOOK ME LESS THAN 2 HOURS (FROM START TO FINISH WITH ACTUALLY PRINTING PICTURES OUT MYSELF) AND IT cost me less than $25. it’s the perfect way to convey your love for someone, without having a large price tag attached to it. i am a huge believer that it’s the thought that counts towards a gift that matters versus the actual cost of a gift. THE BEST PART IS THAT AN ADVENTURE BOOK CAN BE CREATED FOR ANYONE (NOT JUST for a PARTNER). IT CAN BE CREATED FOR YOUR BEST FRIENDS, YOUR SIBLINGS, YOUR PARENTS, ETC. it can also be created and gifted FOR ANY OCCASION, NOT JUST FOR VALENTINE’S DAY OR GALENTINE’S DAy. YOU MAY HAVE THE PICTURES ON YOUR PHONE or laptop, BUT by CREATING THIS ADVENTURE BOOK you will create A NOSTALGIC FEELING OF SIMPLER AND MORE THOUGHTFUL TIMES for your loved one(s).
